Author’s talk at Batemans Bay & Narooma Libraries,
4 & 5 Oct 2022

Great crowd tonight at Batemans Bay Library … thanks to Eurobodalla – South Coast NSW Janelle Smith, the librarian and her supervisor/colleagues … ‘rehydration station’ ensured the 90 minute presentation and Q/As afterwards flew … and special thanks to Candelo Books for making copies of BETRAYED available to purchase …
all of which I signed!
It’s never the same … Narooma Library on a wet, cold night turned on a crowd to hear the back story and more about BETRAYED — supported by  again, too. Wonderful that local bookstore owners Myoung Ypma and his wife Marianna from Candelo Books could set up at Bega, Batemans Bay and Narooma, all on separate nights, making the book available for purchase. And purchase it the attendees did! Thank you Eurobodalla and your wonderful library staff;
thank you Bega Valley Shire Library too.

Author’s Talk at Bega Library, 16 September 2022

It was a full house for my Bega Library talk today arranged by Library Learning and Engagement officer Sugita Wahl (pictured).
Candelo Books (via Myoung Ypma and his wife Marianna) was there with a pop-up bookstore and plenty of copies of BETRAYED were snapped up by the crowd (and signed by the author).
The ABC Australia SouthEast NSW Breakfast Show hosted today by Paul West offered an excellent earlier i/v opportunity to promote the talk and the book. Local communities show sincere appreciation of these sorts of engagements.

BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival
Friday 9 September 2022

BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival was a blast.
Michael Duffy was an excellent interviewer (he is a seasoned journo and author),
and the questions which followed were very good too.
I do enjoy these opportunities to expand on BETRAYED and the Drug Grannies’ ordeal.
Great to have Hachette Australia in the house too!
They’re a publisher who do look after their authors.

I was excited to join Shelley Burr and Jack Heath, with moderator Tim Ayliffe, on a Canberra Writers Festival panel — Catch Me If You Can — on Saturday 13 August from 2-3pm at the Museum of Australian Democracy (Old Parliament House) in the Members’ Dining Room:

When is truth stranger than fiction? From real-life drug-running grannies to searing thrillers, Sandi Logan, Shelley Burr, and Jack Heath discuss the power of personal investigation.
